would there be life on earth if only one fourth of it was covered with water? for class 4​

I think it's no. Because now the Earth is in the development. And now the water on Earth is gradually decresing. so if the water is 1/4 now it's ok but for the future generations it will be very hard to survive.

Going by what we know right now, about the only way there would be so little coverage of water is when the oceans have mostly boiled away. That’s likely to happen in 1 to 2 billion years. At that point, you can be sure there won’t be much life left, if any, and what there is will be pretty much just microbes.

My standard disclaimer: This all assumes nature taking its course, without technological interference. I can’t picture humanity messing up the water content that much intentionally, but I don’t suppose some weird scenario can be ruled out.
