the message for Universal rights was beset with contradictions many ideas in the declaration of rights of man and citizen :-
1. the French Revolution could not bring economic equality and it is a fact that unless there is economic equality ,really quality cannot be received at any sphere.
2. declaration of rights of man and citizens laid stress on equality button large section of society was denied to it ..the right to vote did not solve the problem of poor men as they were considered as passive citizens ..
3. women are still regarded as passive citizens ..they did not have any political right such as right of vote and hold political offices .hence they struggle for equal rights continued ..
4. does its images liberated could not last long for a long time ..
5. slavery existed in France till the first half of the 19th century ..

Yes,I agree with the view that the message of universal rights was beset with contradiction because:-

1) Many ideals of the "declaration of rights of man and citizen" were very complicated.

2) All the focus of the "declaration of rights of man and citizen" was on equality, but a large section of the society was denied to it.

3) Women were still regarded as the passive citizens.

4) France occupied many neighbouring nations under Napoleon Bonaparte.

5) Slave trade was still going on up to the first half of the nineteenth century.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU with thanks.
