Answer:

Education provides stability in life. By being well-educated and holding a college degree, you increase your chances for better career opportunities and open up new doors for yourself. On top of stability, education also provides financial security, especially in today’s society. A good education tends to lead to a higher paying job, as well as provide you with the skills needed to get there.   The importance of education is evident when it comes to being self-dependent. It can allow you to not only be financially independent, but also to make your own choices by giving you the ability to secure high paying jobs. Having an education is believed to also make you a useful part of society, and can make you feel like a contributing member as well.   Moreover, an educated society is crucial for economic growth. We need people to continue to learn and research in order to constantly stay innovative. Countries with higher literacy rates also tend to be in better economic situations.

Regarding ICTs, there is widespread belief that ICTs can and will empower teachers and learners, transforming teaching and learning processes from being highly teacher-dominated to student-centered, and that this transformation will result in increased learning gains for students, creating and allowing for opportunities for learners to develop their creativity, problem-solving abilities, informational reasoning skills, communication skills, and other higher-order thinking skills. However, there are currently very limited, unequivocally compelling data to support this belief. Even in the most advanced schools in OECD countries, ICTs are generally not considered central to the teaching and learning process. One of the enduring difficulties of technology use in education is that educational planners and technology advocates think of the technology first and then investigate the educational applications of this technology only later. In general, and despite thousands of impact studies, the impact of ICT use on student achievement remains difficult to measure and open to much reasonable debate.
