What are isotopes? Elements having the same atomic number and differing in their mass numbers are called isotopes.

So they actually differ only in the number of neutrons present in their nucleus.

Since they have the same number of protons, effectively the attraction of the nucleus on the outer electron must be the same in isotopes, hence they must have the same first ionization enthalpies.

Answer:

Since the isotopes of same element have the same atomic number, they have the same number of electrons (and protons) and differ only in the number of neutrons. Hence the ionisation energy for two isotopes of an element should be same
