chlorophyll traps the solar energy of the sun through quantosome ( around 250 molecules of chlorophyll), which is necessary for the light reaction of photosynthesis.

The sunlight absorbed by chlorophyll served as a catalyst ......the importance of chlorophyll or photosynthesis is that it captures light energy from the sun to produce glucose via chemical reaction. Chlorophyll specifically absorb light from the red and blue parts of the light spectrum, and reflects green light
