Central Board of Secondary Education relaxes requirements of board exam for children of military personnel who have died fighting terrorism
CBSE, in the case of children of military personnel and those who died in the fight against terrorism and left-wing extremism, to extend relaxation in the standards
For the upcoming Board examination of classes 10 and 12, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has agreed to extend the relaxation standards for children of military personnel who have died fighting and left extremists and terrorism. In 2019 the CBSE decided to extend exemptions, following the Pulwama terrorist attack, against martyrs of the military and the paramilitary forces, said Examining Controller Akhsat Bhardwaj.
In '2020', the 'CBSE has decided to extend relaxations' to the wards of 'armed forces' and 'paramilitary forces' who are fighting terrorism and left-wing extremism for the country and are martyred in the line of duty during this period," he said. The board has directed that if students have missed their practical examination, the same should be conducted as per their convenience by April 2, 2020, and if the students wish to appear in examination in a subject offered later, they will be permitted to do so.
In 2020, 'CBSE' decided to extend relief to the 'children of military' and 'paramilitary forces fighting terrorism' and left wing extremists for the nation and being martyred in the one of duty for this time in service, Bhardwaj said. The Board ordered that if students missed their practical test, the same must be conducted done as necessary and as per their convenience by April 2 2020, and if the students want to appear in the examination in a subject offered later, they would be allowed to do so.
The CBSE Class XII Board exams will be held from 13th February and end 30th March, while the Class X Board exams will be held from 11th February to 20th March.
