The paper will not burn. The reason for the paper not getting burnt is the presence of iron rod.

The melting point of an iron rod is much higher and it is a good conductor of heat.

So, it absorbs the heat from paper quickly and stops the paper from reaching its ignition temperature. The paper stays burn proof.
