hi \: \: ..
2x - y + 1 = 0 \: \: .....(given)

If we put x = 2 & y = 5 , the equation is satisfied .
Thus , x = 2 & y = 5 is one of the solution .

Put x = 2 & y = 5

L.H.S = 2x - y + 1
= 2(2) - (5) + 1
= 4 - 5 + 1
= -1 + 1
= 0
L.H.S = 0
R.H.S = 0

So.,
L.H.S = R.H.S

2x - y + 1 = 0

hope \: \: this \: \: helps.
