WHO programmes run in India and the agencies that run these
programmes are as follows:
1. World Health Organization (WHO) has a cooperative strategy named ‘The WHO India Country Cooperation Strategy 2019–2023: A Time of Transition’.
2. The Country Cooperation Strategy (CCS), gives a path for WHO to work with the GoI to achieve its health sector goals, improve the health of the nation and bring in transformative changes in health sector.
Programmes:
1. Ayushman Bharat, a health and wellness centres and hospital insurance scheme was implemented.
2. Monitoring and evaluation of health sector performance was taken under consideration.
3. An action plan for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) was rolled out.
Along with these several other issues faced in the health care system were laied out to be addressed.

WHO has collaborated with the following institutions to implement its agenda:
1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) under the title WHO Collaborating Centre for Human Reproduction.
2. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre under the title WHO Collaborating Centre for Secondary Standard Radiation Dosimetry.
3. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) under the title WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in Lympahtic Filariasis and Integrated Vector Management.
4. National Tuberculosis Institute (NTI) under the title WHO Collaborating Centre for Tuberculosis Research and Training.
