13x-12y=25=> 12y=13x-25=> y=13/12(x)-25/12 on comparing this equation with y=mx+c => we get m=13/12 and c= -25/12 . When we keep x=1and y=1=> 13-12=1 ...Left hand side is not equal to Right hand side .So x=1 and y=1 doesnot satisfy the equation 13x-12y=25.

Solution:

13x - 12y = 25

implies -12y = -13x + 25

ie,        y = (13/12)x + -25/12

This is of the form y = mx + c

Here m = 13/12   and c = -25/12

If we put x = 1 and  y = 1 in 13x - 12y = 25 gives 13 - 12 = 1not equal to 25.

Hence x = 1 and y = 1 are not the solution of  the given equation.
