slope =m=y2-y1/x2-x1

m=4-(-8)/6-(-2)

m=12/8

m=3/2

y intrecept = put x=0 in equation of this line then

equation of this line is

y-y1/y1-y2=x-x1/x1-x1

y-(-8)/-8-4=x-(-2)/-2-6

y+8/-12=x+2/-8

y+8/3=x+2/2

2y+16=3x+6

3x-2y-10=0

so y intrecept is -5

slope point form

y=MX+c

y=3/2x-5
