Electron :

  • Negatively charged

  • Found outside the nucleus .

  • In the process of formation of bonds ; electrons are either gained or lost in order to complete and attain valency .

  • Symbol : e

Proton :

  • Positively charged

  • Inside the nucleus

  • Symbol : p

Neutron :

  • Neutrally charged

  • Inside the nucleus

  • Symbol : n

Supplementary information :

  • Proton was discovered by Ernest Rutherford.

  • Neutron was discovered by Chadwik.

  • Electron was discovered by JJ Thompson.

QUESTION :

Write 2 differences between Electron , Proton and Neutron.

ANSWER :

There are 2 types of charge found , they're as follows :

  • Electron
  • Proton

But in that criteria we also find a thing name Neutron, so what's that ? Let's see here the details of all the three :

  • ELECTRON : Electron is a positively charged Ion , It was discovered in 1897 by a British scientist named as 'J.J . Thomson ' The two points of Electron are as follows :

1.) The sign / symbol for showing the presence of electron is 'e'.

2.)  They're found outside the Nucleus.

  • PROTON : Proton is a negatively charged Ion, It was discovered in 1909 by a scientist named E. Rutherford. Two points of Proton are as follows :

1.) The sign / symbol for showing the presence of proton is 'P'.

2.) They're found inside the Nucleus.

  • NEUTRON : Neutrons is a chargeless Ion, It was discovered in 1932 by a scientist named James Chadwick. Two points of Neutron are as follows :

1.) The sign / symbol for showing the presence of neutron is 'n'.

2.) They're found inside the Nucleus.
