1. The outer part is made up of the cyton of the neuron and is called the grey matter and the inner part is made up of axons of the neuron and is called the white matter.
2. It lies protected within the skull.
3. It has three main parts i.e. cerebrum, cerebellum, and medulla oblongata.

1. The inner portion is made up of the cyton of the neuron and is called the white matter and the outer portion is made up of the axon of the neuron and is called the white matter.
2. It lies well- protected within the vertebral column.
