The difference between distance and displacement are:

1) Distance refers to how much ground an object has covered during its motion.

Displacement refers to far out of place an object is.It is the object's overall change in position.

2) Distance is a scalar quantity.

Displacement is a vector quantity.

3) Distance doesn't have direction.O only magnitude is there.

Displacement have both magnitude and direction.
