Reflection and refraction are 2 different phenomenas
Reflection is  bouncing bck of light on a smooth surface where the angle of incidence is equal to angle of refraction.
Refraction is the phenomena where the light rays is diverted from its original path when the light ray passes from one medium to another and this occurs due to the different density of the mediums.
Hope this helps u ... :)

✯ Reflection ✯

  • ➷ The bouncing back of light is called reflection.

  • ➷ It involves only a single medium.

  • ➷ After reflection, only change in direction takes place.

✯ Refraction ✯

  • ➷ The phenomenon of bending of light is called refraction.

  • ➷ It involves two or more than two media.

  • ➷ After refraction, changes in direction and velocity take place.
