☆ Setup cost or investment is very high because special grade silicon is needed for making solar cells and silver wire is used to interconnect solar cells for making solar panels.

☆ We can't get energy in night time and every weather( e.g. when weather is cloudy ).

☆It has low efficiency as it can convert only about 25% of the light energy falling on them into electricity.
