Question:-

  • Write (3a+4b+5c)^{2} in expanded form.

Formula to be used here:-

(x + y + z)^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  +  {z}^{2}  + 2(xy + yz + xz)

Solution:-

{(3a + 4b + 5c)}^{2}

 =  {(3a)}^{2}  +  {(4b)}^{2}  +  {(5c)}^{2}  + 2 \times ((3a \times 4b )+ (4b \times 5c) + (3a \times 5c))

 = 9 {a}^{2}  + 16 {b}^{2}  + 25 {c}^{2}  + 2 \times (12ab + 20bc + 15ac)

 = 9 {a}^{2}  + 16 {b}^{2}  + 25 {c}^{2}  + 24ab + 40bc + 30ac

Answer:-

  • 9 {a}^{2}  + 16 {b}^{2}  + 25 {c}^{2}  + 24ab + 40bc + 30ac
