Gamete:
Gamete is an individual haploid cell. Male gamete is sperm and the female gamete is egg. Gamete contains only one set of chromosomes. Gamete is motile and do not undergo cell division. Sperm and egg fuse during fertilization give rise to zygote.
Zygote:
Two haploid gametes fuse and form a zygote. It is a diploid cell. It contains two sets of chromosomes. Zygote is non motile and undergoes cell divisions. Zygote gives rise to foetus.
