The basic rules for interview questions:
1. Never ask a question that can be answered as a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. Ask more meaningful questions.
2. Do not form very long questions. The aim is to get the interviewee to speak more.If you keep talking, there will be little time for the interviewee to share his/her views.
Questions:
- What kind of decisions were you not allowed to make, that children today can?
- Do you think children today are smarter than they were during your younger days? Why?
- Which childhood story can you listen to time and again? What is so special about it?(Could you share the story with us?)
- If there is one thing that you could minus from the modern society, what would it be and why?
- Now that you are a grandfather, how do you compare yourself with your own grandfather? Do you see more similarities or differences between the two of you?
- If you could teach children how to make a toy, which toy would you choose? Why?
- What pranks did you play on people during your teenage years?
- What would you do differently in life, if given a second chance?
- What would you do in your younger days to be ‘cool’?
