A leader can inspire people to get the desired results. I strive to be a leader – someone that people want to emulate. I feel that is the secret to a successful business. A business can be successful if it has all leaders, but it cannot be successful with only managers. The people need a reason to succeed, to do their best. A manager cannot get that out of their workers. As General George Patton once said, “Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.”The most important traits are confidence and responsibility. A good leader is doing everything confidently and encourages this confidence in others. He or she cheers up people and makes them feel that they are needed and that they are doing everything well.
