Question ::-

Write 4 rational numbers between -4 and -3

Solution ::-

• Write the given numbers .

= -4 and -3

__________

• How many rational numbers we have to find in between them ?

= 4

__________

• Firstly , convert integers into fractions

=  \dfrac{-4}{1} and  \dfrac{-3}{1}

__________

• They are already like fractions , so we don't have to take LCM write them as they are ::-

=  \dfrac{-4}{1} and  \dfrac{-3}{1}

__________

• Now, divide both fractions by 5

(i)  \dfrac{-4}{1} =  \dfrac{-4×5}{1×5} =  \dfrac{-20}{5}

(ii)  \dfrac{-3}{1} =  \dfrac{-3×5}{1×5} =  \dfrac{-15}{5}

__________

• So we got four rational numbers between them ::-

  •  \dfrac{-19}{5}

  •  \dfrac{-18}{5}

  •  \dfrac{-17}{5}

  •  \dfrac{-16}{5}

• Hence , solved
