•Scalar is a quantity which has only magnitude whereas vector is a quantity which has both magnitude and direction.

•Scalar is one dimensional quantity whereas vector is multi dimensional quantity.

•A Scalar can divide another scalar but two vectors never divide each other.

•Scalar obey algebraic rules whereas vector obey vector rules

•Examples for scalar quantity :-Speed, distance, mass, etc
Examples for vector quantity :-Vector, displacement, acceleration, etc
