1. A democratic government is a better government because it is more accountable form of government.
2. It improves the quality of decision making because a democratic desicion always involves many persons,discussion and meeting.
3. In any society,people are bound to have difference of opinion and interest. democracy provides a method to deal with difference and conflicts.
4. It enhances the dignity of citizens.
5. It allows us to correct its own mistakes.
POINTS AGAINST DEMOCRACY
1. Leaders keep changing in a democracy which leads to instability.
2. Democracy is all about political competition and power play. There is no scope for morality.
3. Delays are often made because many people have to be consulted in a democracy.
4. Elected leaders do not know the best interest of the people. It leads to bad decisions.
5. It leads to corruption as it is based on electoral competition.
