My all time favorite Bollywood actor is Dilip Kumar. He according to me was the first method actor in the ‘world’. His performances in Devdas, Andaz, Deedar, Mughal e Azam and most of all Gunga Jumna are timeless. Kumar was the first one who started being selective about his movie roles, doing one project at a time. Kumar was an actor who could pull crowds with his stardom and also provide quality performances. I must also confess that Dilip Kumar’s best years were between (1949–1967) his later projects were well below par. I regard Balraj Sahni as the best actor of that era, similarly i regard Sanjeev Kumar as a better actor than Amitabh Bachchan or Dharmendra.
