Write 6 strategies implemented by you for conservation of environment
Answers
Numerous ways in which environment can be conserved.
Here are 6 ways to protect the environment which are common and simple. 3 essential verbs one should keep in mind i.e. reduce, recycle, reuse.
1. Recycling:
Recycle everything you try to buy reusable and biodegradable products. Whether it's glass/paper, plastic/metal all these materials could be re-used.
Empty jars, broken glasses which is no longer useful should be recycled. It takes million years for glass to decompose.
2. Reduce water consumption:
Water is life which is clean, fresh water which tends to become more precious as time goes by and if we do nothing to save it in far future water will be more precious than gold.
3. Reduce use of electricity:
Once you are done with an electric appliance turn it off. You will save energy and also money from your electricity bill! Replace bulbs with energy saving bulbs. During leaving office physically turn off your computer and monitor. One will reduce electricity consumption in the process and do that at home too.
4. Plant a tree:
Trees are source of oxygen and we have to plant more of them. It will give shade in summer days and pollution will be lessened along with green house effect.
5. Grow vegetables:
Vegetables we eat are grown with chemicals and pesticides. One planting own veggies without using little “ingredients” you will have organic food of nice quality good for your health and environment.
6. Composting:
Few composting bins inside the garden shows an excellent opportunity to avoid littering at same time being reliable source of natural manure for vegetable garden. Manure is not harmful for environment and litter is lessened.
The 6 strategies followed by me to conserve the environment are:
1. I started using reusable bags. Since plastic bags are non-biodegradable which causes harm to our environment is stopped using them. Instead, I use reusable bags, this prevents our surroundings from litter and prevent animals from eating them.
2. I print as little as necessary. Sometimes we search for study materials on the web and most of them are in pdf format. Instead of printing those out I read them on my laptop or tab. This saves paper.
3. Instead of throwing the garbage or damaged materials here and there. I dump the appropriate garbage in the recycle dust bin. I sell the damaged materials to the vendor who collects damaged materials for recycling.
4. I don’t throw my notes of the class away. Instead, I give my notes to my juniors so that they can make use of it thus the paper doesn’t get wasted.
5. I save electricity by using it at the least quantity required. I have replaced all the old light bulbs with LED bulbs which are more energy efficient. I switch of the electric appliances whenever they are not in use.
6. I save water by following the water saving practices like turning off the tap when not in use. Using a bucket instead of a shower for bathing. And limiting water use for other purposes too.
