Kabir also known as Kabir Das', was born and brought up in a Muslim weavers family by Niru and Nima. He was a mystic poet and a musician and was one of the important saints of Hinduism and also considered a Sufi by Muslims. He is respected by Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs. He was a disciple of Ramananda. He was never formally educated and was almost completely illiterate. According to legend, the only word that he ever learned how to write was "Rama".

Kabir Das was a 15th century Indian Mystic poet and Saint who's writing influenced Hinduism Bhakti movement and his verse are found in Sikhism scripture Guru Granth Sahib. his early life was in a Muslim family but he was strongly influenced by his teacher The Hindu bhakti leader Ramanada. Kabir suggested that true God is with the person who is on the path of righteousness considering all creature on earth as his own self and who is passively detached from the affairs of the world.........
