Plants create Oxygen.
If not for them we wouldn’t be able to breathe. They take in the Carbon Dioxide and other harmful gases and create Oxygen. With an increase in vehicular pollution, industrial gas emission, etc. the need for plants has risen more than ever before.
Plants are important in the food chain.
We eat vegetables (that are essentially plants). Other species like Cows and Sheep also eat plants. If plants weren’t present then we would starve and it would create an imbalance in the food chain.
Plants are used for medicinal purposes.
Many medicines (esp. many Ayurvedic, Naturopathic and Homoeo) are made from plants. Plants have a lot of medicinal properties. Even the common plants like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Lemon Grass, Neem, etc. are very beneficial.
Plants have stress relieving properties.
Plants are said to relieve stress, especially in these modern times when we are surrounded by mobile phones, laptops, etc.
Plants can beautify a place.
Keeping plants at home, balcony or in the office can beautify the place. The plants improve the air quality and make the space look good. You can invest in some planters, use your creativity and paint them and put the plant in them.
