World has changed a lot along with it, the adaptation of cultures too has been came in to existence. Yeah! Cultures too are now adapted just like animals adapt themselves according to different climates people adapt cultures. In our nation, India, the "aping the western culture" is on a great rise with time. Aping the western culture means imitating their culture insted of our own. The mostly affected thing of this adaptation is the clothes , yeah clothes are in a miserable condition (sarcastic) due to the western culture in our country. There seems very few women or girl with saare, Kurtis or traditional Indian dresses.
Saare which was once considered to be worn on a daily basis is now worn once in a blue moon. In western there's a simple definition of clothing 'to reveal a body of a woman to a great extent as much as possible as attraction is more important than self respect in today's society.' This kind of attraction was never a part of Indian culture. This attraction law of western culture is proving to be a failure in today's world where men's rather than looking at the real beauty of women looks at parts which are revealed! Is that a way to maintain a family value, a society where women can walk comfortably? Nope! Staring at a women is a curse gifted and increased after the adaptation of the western culture. The food habit too is affected to a very great extent because the western culture. Pizza, burger, noodles, pastries these are the food items which if you ask a child you will get to listen as his/her favourite. No one especially children want to eat just rice and daal, it's no more considered to be food in today's time. People have forgotten leaders like Gandhi, Nehru and many others didn't even thought of anything else more than rice and daal as the best food. Were they too pale or do they used to fall sick again and again? No! They were the ones who were the most active leaders in every movement. The porn, which earns a huge profit from the Indian nation is a result of western culture. Forget about elderly people, even a child who's under 12 years of age enjoys watching porn, are these the moral values our Indian culture taught us!Why are we forgetting our real diamond look and accepting stone look? The sports is too a field which is affected quite a lot. Hockey our national game is seen to have no value in comparison with cricket and also nowadays with football. The games like kabbadi, kho -kho are seem to vanished from the minds and hearts of people all these are results of aping the western culture! The western culture mainly focuses on games which earns huge profit and huge fan following which is mostly possible with games like cricket and football. We need to remember our real culture, we weren't have been birth in an Indian culture if we were to follow western culture.

The western culture has swept over the Indian subcontinent like a tsunami. What is not that has not been affected by it! We have been completely westernized, though we claim we have not been! The two catalysts that have been transforming our culture are IT revolution and media and networking advancement.
Since Western culture is quite open and advanced, there is no restriction on pornographic and obscene channels. However, our culture is based on values of abstinence, self-discipline, and self-control. Such adult channels are really affecting our culture. The westernization process of majority of our youth has already started. Preference for western style of life is visible everywhere. Fast food, western clothes, eating habits, smoking, drinking, going out, pubs, drive-through foods, jeans, etc. all are indicators of the westernization of our culture.
It depends upon us whether we allow ourselves to be influenced by the foreign channels or not. But one thing is sure; if we will be watching foreign channels most of the time every day, it is definitely going to influence our culture. Foreign channels have already influenced our culture a lot. We need to take very careful precautions to preserve our culture in the midst of this onslaught of foreign entertainment and information on the impressionable minds of our children.
The wisest approach should be adopted. We must preserve our rich spiritual culture and allow wise blending of the western culture with it. I think the rich morality taught to us by our traditional oriental culture along with the efficient technological advancement given to us by the occidental culture will produce an ideal new culture whose benefits will be immense for the entire mankind.
