Auto biography of a parrot

My name is Abu. I was born in  a cage owned by a little boy named  Hussain. He was very small, and when  brothers, my mother would peck his  fingers. When I was about two weeks  old, I fell out of my cage on account  of the little boy's father leaving the  door open when he came to feed us. I  only hurt my foot a little bit, and  Hussain's mother came and tucked me  under my mother's wing again. My  foot soon got better and when I was  about six months old, I was given to a  little girl called Ayisha .After she had  me for a few weeks she taught me to  talk, and when I used to see anybody I  I used to say "Good day, how are you  I wish you your day will be successful One night the big black  cat caught hold of me and gave me a  good hiding. I happened to break my  chain, so I fled went to an-  other place. A man shot at me when  he was shooting at the cockatoo on his  maize, so I am back again In my cage

Answer:

Once a time, there was a bird, that lived near the sky,

Alas it’s sight was barred with wires, its home of wire mesh.

With uwavering, helpless, trifled spirit it sang thus:

“All day long I yell at those within and without my house,

While other birds guffaw and people smile with joy,

My cries of help and freedom, a mere source of joy for them.”

It sang thus of its own and saw those outside.

The world without so vast and pretty compared to it’s own.

The bird that lived in a house of wire mesh sang :

“I am loved, taken care of, seen with kind, forgiving eyes.

It’s not people I am angry at for caging me here.

It’s the cage of wire mesh that love has so woven.

It’s not the cage that holds me back from tasting the sweet sky, it’s love that bars me from flying free into the cold clouds.

As I plead to each and all to let me once be free,

I pity those outside, free in body, caged in mind, who dream of being me.”

Thus chirped the tiny bird, day in and day out,

Living inside a house of wire mesh, caged by love and care.

Hope it helps you
