Hi.

Here is your answer---

Ethane burns with a briliant Blue Flame in the sufficient amount of air, it produces carbondioxide and water. The reaction is exitheemic thus a large amount of heat is given out in the reaction.

Reaction---

2C2H6 + 7O2---------- 4CO2 + 6H2O
Ethane Oxygen Carbon Water
dioxide.

When Ethane burns in insuffiecient supply of oxygen, it forms cabon monoxide and water. In this reaction also a large amount of heat is given out.

Reaction -----

2C2H6 + 5O2------------4CO2 + H2O

When Ethane burns in very minute quantity of oxygen, it forms cabon (soot) and water. This reaction is also Exothermic.

Reaction---

C2H6 + O2--------------- 2C + 3H2O
Soot

Formulae of Ethane : C2H6
Formulae of Oxygen : O2
Reaction between ethane and oxygen or we can say burning of ethane in presence of oxygen give rise to product Carbon Dioxide ( CO2) and Water ( H2O).
Balancing the equation of the given reaction:
2C2H6 + 7O2 = 4CO2 + 6H2O
And this reaction is known as Combustion reaction.
