First half punjab was with pakistan ot was known as the west pakistan which had a majority of sikh population comprising Lahore, Sindh , Karachi etc it was given the name NWFA(NORTH WEST FRONTIER AGENCY) it had fertile fields , and flourishing industries and todays punjab was called east punjab which did not had much development so, after the partition it left a trauma for the country as all the fertile lands , industries and supply centre went to pakistan.
