The nation of us had given birth of many jewels'. Like that one is Mahesweta- the woman writer who was expert in various fields of writings like short stories,poems even novel. Born in Kolkata in 1909. Her father was another famous person. The wonderful fact is that she cannot learn school's education in her childhood. In her own thirst on literature she learned education. In a huge lifespan of 86 years she had written more over 50 novel, including 'Aranner Adhikar' on account of Munda Inserrection of 1900. Her other notable works are 'Golden Stag','Ognipariksha','Bokulkatha','Subarnalata' etc. She had won SAHITYA ACADEMY PRIZE, GYANPITH PRIZE. Also achived D.Let by CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY.Died in 1995 in Kolkata.

Maheshwari Devi an eminent write left us...she was a social activitst... she was born on 14th January in 1926 in Dhaka West Bengal.. she was not only and author but she was also a political activist and diplomat..her mother Bharathi Devi was a writer and a social worker her first schooling was in Dhaka later she moved to West Bengal she completed BA in English from visva Bharati University,M A in English at Calcutta University ...she wrote over hundred novels and over 20 short stories,her first novel was Jhansir Rani,she thought at bijoygarh ,prolific college.. she is served as the voice of the oppressed she was the wife of John Bhattacharya, prolific playwright,, her "aryaner Adhikar" was on the life of Munda ..the setting of "hajar churasir" is the Naxalite Movement in the Nandigram agitation nabarun Bhattacharya was her son she won satya Sahitya Academy Award in 1979,padma shri(1986) ,jnanpith award (1996),Ramon Magsaysay award (1997),padma vibhushan (2006)..she died of multiple organ failure on 28th July ,2016..on her death, Mamta banerjee, chief minister of west bengal said that "India has lost a great writer,.Bengal has lost a glorious mother and I have lost a personal guider.. May her soul rest in peace..
