But there is a lot of misinformation circulating about what the new COVID-19 virus is, how it’s transmitted, how to prevent it and how to treat it. Our new section talks you through everything you need to know about COVID-19 and the impact on people living with HIV.

Its prevention methods are:

3. Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
4. Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
5. Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
6. Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
7. Stay home if you feel unwell.
8. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.
