william shakespeare, (26 april 1564-23 april 1616), was an english poet ,playwright and actor. he is often called england's national poet and "bard of avon". His works includes 38 plays,154 sonnets,2 long narrative poems etc.Shakespeare was born and brought up in Stratford-upon-Avon. At the age of 18, he married Anne Hathaway.he wrote mainly tragedies including Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, and Macbeth, considered some of the finest works in the English language. In his last phase, he wrote tragicomedies, also known as romances, and collaborated with other playwrights.Shakespeare died on 23 April 1616, at the age of 52.He was survived by his wife and two daughters.he  is truly an inspiring personality.
