Anne Frank, the author of the book "The Diary Of A Young Girl" was a teenager when she began writing her diary. She was lively intelligent, bold and aggressive child. She was perhaps not as pretty as her elder sister, Margot Frank. From the diary, it becomes clear that she was mentally and physically growing up, and by the end of the diary, she seems to have comparatively mature in a very short period of 2 years.
She was popular among her classmates. Many of her classmates were attracted towards her personality, but she was not interested in them. She loved Peter very much, but she kept it a secret. Her diary entries show that she made many mistakes for which she got shabby treatment from her parents, specially from her mother Edith Frank. she was emotionally attached to her father, Otto Frank. She would feel depressed when she was openly rebuked for trivial matters and would often loss her temper. She was a sensitive girl. She would feel hurt at the harsh words of her mother whom she came to almost hate.
She was scholastic and profound, unknown to others. She was fond of reading books. Even in the stifling atmosphere of the Annexe, she pursued her school lessons, tried her hand at learning French and short hand and regularly wrote her diary and some stories as well. Dr. Alfred Dussel and Mrs. Van Daan Found her mature than her age. Her diary shows how keen observer of life she was. She tried her best to get rid of anxiety, depression and boredom of her life during her stay in the secret Annexe.
