Biology, asked by mitch1234, 5 hours ago

Write a brief letter of appreciation to the proponents of cell theory as sign of recognizing their efforts and great work in Science. Sight implications what could have happen if significant inventions/discoveries were not made possible.

MY PERSONAL LETTER OF APPRECIATION

Explanation:

  • The credit for developing cell theory was given to Matthias Schleiden, Theodor Schwann, and Rudolf Virchow.
  • Cell theory helps us in understanding biology because cells are the basis of all life. We can have unicellular organisms, like bacteria, like yeasts, and  cell division, the division of a cell from one to two, to four, forms the basis of the growth and development of all living things
  • It is the smallest form of life.
  • Every minute your cells are helping in digestion, sending signals that control your responses, transportation of oxygen in the body, contraction so you can move, and making all of your other bodily processes happen.
  • Anyone who’s taken a basic biology class already knows what cells are and that living thing are made up of cells. It shows us how important the cell theory is. It’s one of the fundamental life of biology.
  • Before the cell theory existed, people had a very different view of life. Many scientists believed in spontaneous generation, that living organisms can arise from nonliving matter. The best example of this would be a piece of rotten meat creating flies because flies often appear around rotten meat. Before cells and the cell, the theory was known, it wasn’t understood that humans, and other living organisms, were made up of tiny building blocks that controlled all our biological processes. Disease, growth, and death were much more of a mystery compared to what we know today. The cell theory fundamentally changed our way of look at life.
