Answer:

The Great Stupa at Sanchi is one of the oldest stone structures in India, and an important monument of Indian Architecture. It was originally commissioned by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE. Its nucleus was a simple hemispherical brick structure built over the relics of the BuddhaSanchi Stupa is, of course, the main attraction. This massive dome-shaped religious monument is about 36.5 meters (120 feet) wide and 16.4 meters (54 feet) high but it's not possible to go inside. Instead, Buddhists worship it by walking around it in a clockwise direction.

Question-

Write a brief note about your experience of your visit to sanchi stupa virtually.

Answer:-

I have heard a lot about Great Stupas at Sanchi, so when the opportunity came, i just grabbed my shoulder bag & reached. it is about 4 hours from Bhopal on local buses, picking & dropping passenger at drop of a hand! (or is it show of hand). But all the trouble was worth it. one of the best maintained place in India! clean, neatly manicured lawns and surroundings, courteous staff.

During my 3 hours visit, no less than 4 staff asked me how i do i find the place! Absolutely Marvelous place to visit with family & friends.

Hope its helpful.....!!
