The organs in different organisms which have similar functions but differ in origin & structure are called analogous organ. E.g- wings of birds with that of the wings of insects because wings of birds are supported by bones & wings of insects are made up of only membrane & not supported by bones.

Analogous organs are those organs which have different evolutionary origin and same function...The paddle of whale and fin of fish are analogous. Analogous organs do not show common ancestor though they show convergent evolution, i.e. development of similar daptive functional structures in unrelated group of organisms.
