Dholavira was one of the largest urban centres of the Indus valley Civilization in Kachchh district of Gujarat. This particular City, unlike other cities, was divided into three parts with great stone walls all around and gateways as the entrance, it also had a large open area properly used for public purposes.

Also known locally as Kotada timba, the site contains ruins of an ancient Indus Valley Civilization/Harappan city. Dholavira's location is on the Tropic of Cancer.
