The lok Sabha is the house of people. Member of the lok Sabha are usually elected once every 5 years. People of India directly elect their representative to the house. The head of the lok Sabha is called the prime minister. According to the Constitution 530 member can be elected by the people directly and 20 representatives are selected by the union territories.
