A normal distribution has a skew of zero, while a lognormal distribution, for example, would exhibit some degree of right-skew .

Skewness: Skewness is defined as the degree of asymmetry about the central value of distribution. Skewness can be positive as well as negative. If the mean is greater than mode or the median, the skewness will be positive. If it is less Skewness will be negative.
