C program to perform basic arithmetic operations which are addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two numbers. Numbers are assumed to be integers and will be entered by a user. In C language when we divide two integers we get an integer as a result, for example, 5/2 evaluates to 2. As a general rule integer/integer = integer and float/integer = float or integer/float = float. So we convert denominator to float in our program, you may also write float in the numerator. This explicit conversion is known as typecasting.include <stdio.h> int main() { int first, second, add, subtract, multiply; float divide; printf("Enter two integers\n"); scanf("%d%d", &first, &second); add = first + second; subtract = first - second; multiply = first * second; divide = first / (float)second; //typecasting printf("Sum = %d\n", add); printf("Difference = %d\n", subtract); printf("Multiplication = %d\n", multiply); printf("Division = %.2f\n", divide);
