Mr. Mertin S Keith was the tutor to Hellen for Maths and classics when she was preparing for entry to Radcliff. Mr. Keith was an exceptionally paitent teacher, who dealt with Keller with a lot of paitence, who fac ed many difficuties in the subject because of her blindness.
He had a different perspective of teaching and taught Heller in a very unique way, so as to change her approach towards any problems.
While Heller faced many problems in qualifying for Maths in Radcliff because of her inability to comprehend mathematical numbers in braille, Mr. Keith showed immense paitence with her, and Hellen came out with flying colours. It was only for him that Hellen could enter Radcliff. He is therefore known to be the stepping stone for Hellen's success.

Mr. Keith from Cambridge, Massachusetts was Helen's Algebra, Geomettry, Greek and Latin teacher. He was a very understanding and patient teacher who helped Helen to make a steady progress in Mathematics though it was not an easy subject for Helen. He worked with cooperation Anne Sullivan to make concepts easier for Helen to understand. He kept motivating Helen to grasp new concepts by making them simpler.
Initially he taught her twice a week but later he increased his tutoring time and helped her prepare for the entrance test for Radcliffe. Fortunately, she cracked that. Mr. Keith continued tutoring her for a year.Helen expressed her gratitude for Mr. Keith of his patience and teaching style.
