the Emperor of Japan was a good friend of the King of Luggnagg who helped Gulliver wholeheartedly he was a kind man and when Gulliver was asked to destroy the cross with Jesus sign on it Gulliver refused to do that the Emperor was amazed at this fact and later he kept this thing as a secret as well in order to save Gulliver from other people and also to save his life from danger which could have been caused because of the fact he didn't destroy crucifix to carry out, with this we can infer that Gulliver was a Christian.

hii there,
The Emperor of Japan only interacts with Gulliver in one paragraph. He obviously respects the leaders of other countries because he accepts Gulliver's recommendation; he believed Gulliver to be a Christian because of his refusal to stomp on the crucifix, thus, we have to infer that he does not like Christians or their religion.
hope it helps!!!!!!
