In the story,the two orphan boys are taken by the Ogress to her home.She manipulated their minds by saying that she was their relative but in reality,she and her husband Ogre wanted to eat them.

So we can say that the Ogress was very manipulative,and cruel by nature.Though she presented herself to be a kind person.But in reality she was extremely cruel.
