Anne Frank, the author of The Diary of a Young Girl was born in Frankfurt Germany on 12 June 1929. She was a intelligent child. She was very wise for her age. She was different from the other children of her age. She was only 13 but could think very clearly and deeply. She knew the difference between friendship and true friendship. She had many friend before going into hiding. She had loving parents and a good home. Yes she felt herself alone in the world. There was no one in whom she could confide. So she decided to keep a diary as a friend. She gave it the name of ‘Kitty.’ The very first entry in her diary reveals many things about her. She had a very sharp memory. She could write about her experiences in a clear and interesting manner. She had a keen sense of humor. She could invent amusing argument for any subject. She was mature in her thoughts and presented herself as a promising writer. Anne felt very strongly about the freedom of women and that women should get their due respect. If she had lived longer she would have been one of the greatest writers of the world.

Anne Frank was a German-bornJewish girl who wrote diary while in hiding with her family and friends in Amsterdam during World War II.Her father's name was Ottto Frank and mother was Edith Hollander Frank.She wrote diary in Dutch language which was later published in English under the name, 'The Diary of a Young Girl'.She was killed in concentration camp.

She thought of writing a diary as she felt that paper has more patience than people.She calls her diary Kitty and treat it as an insider.She was a very emotional girl and was quite attached with all.She had a lively nature.She was a very talkative girl.She was good at literature as she wrote amazing essays.
