Ustad Bismillah Khan (21 March 1916-21 August 2006 often referred to by the honorific title Ustad was an Indian musician credit with popularising the Shehnai. Shehnai was played traditionally in temple at the role courts and on the wedding occasions the credit must go to the Bismillah Khan to take this instrument to the classical stage.
