Explanation: Azodye test:

Treat aniline and methylamine with sodium nitrite with hydrochloric acid at zero degree Celsius.

In case of aniline : stable diazonium salt will be formed which will give phenol  on hydrolysis.

In case of methylamine, unstable diazonium salt of aliphatic amine will be formed which will further get decompose into nitrogen gas and methanol.
