Faust or Faustus translates from Latin as "Lucky". He is the protagonist of a classic German legend. He is a great scientist that has success, but he is still unhappy. So he makes a pact with the devil: unlimited knowledge and world pleasures in exchange for his soul.
The myth is a fabulous story in which Doctor Faustus, a sacred character, goes through more stages of knowledge. The myth is the link between the sacred world and the profane world. It is every man's dream to unite his simple, human existence into a sacred universe. In the first stage of knowledge different beliefs of peoples, gods, and legendary heroes are exposed.
