I agree with an idea that spending money on public transport and reducing cost of using it will importantly lessen excess number of cars and reducing air pollution.

Investment in public transport in following ways greatly affect in lessening traffic pollution.  

Increasing number of buses and trains will be available for all travelling across long distance.  

Starting buses that are comfortable for passengers will bring more people.  

Expanding bus routes and increasing loyalty will greatly encourage people to select public transport than private cars due to these measures of government.
